Exploring: The start of the process. You're looking to understand the types of data and suppliers which could help your business achieve it's goals. There is no defined timeline or milestones which need to be met.
Evaluating: You're at the point now where you're looking to compare and contrast suppliers and datasets with a view to purchase. At this stage there are deadlines (for example a renewal date) which need to be met, and you're progressing towards making a decision.
Ready To Purchase: You know what types of data and suppliers you'd like to engage with, you've allocated budgets and have timelines and milestones in place.
